For now, we have no formal system in place to correctly capture languages known. In the future, we will work on a system that captures the amount of languages your characters should know, but for now we ask that you use the Honor System and common sense. If you think it seems cheesy, it probably is.

With that said, we do have one standardized ruling on Language. Brackets to denote language , with either the full work (Eg. [Balok]) or a abbreviation there after (eg. [blk]) should be used to speak the intended language. At no point should any 'real world' language be used in role play to denote an in game language. We realize that this goes against the nature of the Gazetteers directly, but our ruling remains. What always seems to start out as innocuous greetings or cusses always ends with someone using the language to (poorly) write full sentences and paragraphs, and the rest of us having to make haste for Google Translate

High Mordentish is not French
Balok is not Romanian
Falkovnian is not German

And so on and so forth. Anyone going against this principle will be directed to this post for a first offense, and will be handled with accordingly if it continues.
