At the current time, in lieu of a standard crafting system, we have decided to implement a system of Hunting & Gathering. Characters will be able to collect plants , skin beasts, and locate other rare items and bring them into NPCs who will create useful items, either at no cost or at a fee.

Skills will come into play for certain items. For example, players will need a high Survival Skill or Knowledge Nature skill to determine which plants in the wild are worth collecting.

Most items will have some small use to the character as is, but will be more useful if turned into an NPC and made into a different form. For example, a character may be able to chew on a plant to relieve pain temporarily (Cure Minor wounds) but there may be a medicine woman in the wilds who can take those same plants and create a stronger tonic (Cure Moderate Wounds).
